Biography

Piotr Ziarkiewicz was born 3 June 1906 in Bortniki in the Galicia country, district Lviv (Lwów), Austrian-Hungarian Empire. In 1918 he went to Trzemeszno. In the 1930ies he was president of the “Strzelec” organization in Trzemeszno. Around the year 1926 he married Waleria (Pelagia) Boińska from Trzemeszno. They had six children, of whom only my grandfather Zygfryd Ziarkiewicz (born 9 November 1927) is still alive.
