Biography

René Fournel was born in Écully in 1922.

He was a painter by trade. He was married to Denise Fournel.

On February 22, 1944, his daughter Mireille Fournel was born in Écully. However, he never had the chance to meet her, as he was deported to the Mauthausen camp just a few days after her birth.
