Biography

Oskar Roubíček was born 28 February 1894 in Dvorce/Tučapy. He was a locksmith by trade. He was married to Olga Roubíček born Krutzký on 28 September 1896. Olga survived the war as did their daughter Edith who emigrated to Israel, then Palestine. Oskar had three siblings, Leo, Marie and Charlota, none of whom survived. Oskar’s nephew, Herbert Zwergfeld, the son of Marie, survived with the Kindertransport from Vienna to London. I also have a few letters written by Olga and by Edith to Herbert after the war.

Helen Fielding, grandniece (daughter of Herbert Zwergfeld, Oskar's nephew)
