Biography

Lazar Sladoje was born in 1906 in Obalj to Djuro and Gospava Sladoje. He had three brothers and two sisters. He lived in Obalj for his whole life. After being caught in a Serb resistance group in Kalinovik, he was taken to Mauthausen, never to see his family again. He died there, and was survived by his wife and two daughters. Several of his descendants still live today.
