Biography

Szczepan Róziewicz was captured in Warsaw in 1944, during the Warsaw Uprising. He and my grandmother, along with my father and their neighbors, were taken out of this tenement house from their apartments, which was located in the Ochota district. He was married to Eugenia Róziewicz and father of his son Zdzisław, born in June 1944. Eugenia and Zdzisław were separated from Szczepan and later Grandma with Zdzisław escaped from the transit camp in Pruszków. I don't know what happened later with my grandfather. Where was he between August 1944 and the end of February 1945, when he was sent to Mauthausen camp, according to documents I received from the Mauthausen Memorial?

According to my information, he worked in the factory Singer in Warsaw. He was probably involved in the activities of the Home Army.
