Biography

Bugaenko Chrisan Filipovich was born on 5 April 1910, in Mytnytsia village, Vasilkovsky district, Kiev region.

Nationality Ukrainian. Married, wife: Bugaenko Anastasia Savvovna (born on 7 January 1909, died on 14 April 1978). Son: Bugaenko Dmitriy Chrysanovych (born 15 August 1942). Parents of Chrisan Filippovich: father Philip Bugaenko went missing during the Civil war between 1918 and 1922; Mother Anastasia Bugaenko (died in 1948).

From a young age he was an active and responsive companion. Chrisan Filipovic was the first Komsomolets in Mytnytsia village in Kiev region. He worked as a master of road construction. Prior to the beginning of the Second World War, Chrisan Bugaenko worked as the chairman of the Mytnytsia village Council (Kiev region) and was a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

He was arrested by the Gestapo on 14 September 1943 in the village of Mytnytsia. According to the International Tracing Service and special department of the registry office of the City of Arolsen (Germany), after interrogation, he was imprisoned in Dachau concentration camp (Germany). His prisoner's number was 51148.

He played musical instruments very well. In peacetime – on mandolin, accordion and accordion and other musical instruments. In the camp – on spoons (according to the testimony of a surviving prisoner).

He was transferred to concentration camp Mauthausen in the night of 17 to 18 August 1944, later to sub camp St. Valentin. His prisoner's number was 89205.

Transferred to the main camp Mauthausen on 28 March 1945. He died on 7 April 1945 at 2:10 hrs. (according to death certificate).
