Biography
Fritz was the beloved son of Regina and Leopoldo Sidlof, who both died in 1942, and most loved brother of his sister Julie pictured here in 1938. Fritz was planning to study architecture in Vienna but was unable to because of the restrictions on Jews to study. Below figures one of his sketches he gave his sister in 1938. Julie survived. The small photograph is of Fritz in Belgium in 1942 with a friend.
Fritz came to Mauthausen in January 1945 on the "Death March" from Auschwitz leaving just days before the liberation of Auschwitz. He died at Mauthausen (Gusen) on 1 May 1945, just days before the liberation of Mauthausen.
