Biography

He was married to Rufina Gomez Perez and they lived in Barcelona with their six children, Mariana, Tomas, Francisca, Jose, Gabriela and Juan. He left his home and his family when the Francoist soldiers entered Barcelona in 1939 during the Spanish Civil War. He emigrated in the 20's from Andalucia to Catalonia and worked as a construction worker.
