Biography

Juda was one of 12 siblings to parents Berl and Chaja Nichtern. Chaja's maiden name of Reimer. Our family spelled the last name either „Nuchtern“ („Nüchtern“) or „Nichtern“. The family prefers the „Ni“-spelling because it is believed the German way of spelling („Nüchtern“) it was to appease the Nazis. Juda was married to Herta Grun (Grün) and they had 2 children, Melush and Idka. None of them survived.
