Biography

Ervin Jakab was born on February 17, 1923, in Targu Mures, Transylvania, Hungary, currently under the administration of Romania, father: Adolf Jakab, mother: Laura Jakab. He studied at the Jewish College in Cluj.

The Yad Vashem archives in Jerusalem, Israel, have released authentic evidence that Ervin Jakab was admitted to the Mauthausen camp hospital on May 9, 1945 and May 10, 1945, dying on May 28, 1945.
