Biography

Stojan Milentijević, born on February 14, 1915 in Jagnjenica village, region Ibarski Kolašin, Kingdom of Serbia. He was one of four children of his parents Milorad and Anica. He was not married. He was a farmer. At the beginning of the summer of 1941, after the capitulation of Yugoslavia, as a member of the Yugoslav Army, he was captured by the German army. On that occasion, his brother, Stevan Milentijević (1912), also a member of the Yugoslav Army, was captured. Both were originally situated in the Sajmište camp in Belgrade. During his internment, he was registered under the number 0807028002. Later, Stojan Milentijević was transferred to the Mauthausen labor camp where, according to the testimony of a surviving inmate from the same village, he died in a gas chamber.
