Alfredo Brambilla 1915 - 1945 Edit

Born 8.7.1915 in Zürich
Died 3.3.1945 in Mauthausen

Biography

Alfredo Brambilla was an Italian electrician who was born on 8 July 1915 in Zurich. His wife was called Rita Nava. He had one child. On 11 March 1944 he was arrested by the Verona security police and deported to the Mauthausen concentration camp. In September he was transferred to Gusen to work as a forced labourer on the construction of the ‘Bergkristall’ tunnel complex. His transfer back to Mauthausen to the infirmary camp suggests that his health had deteriorated. The camp death book records his death at 2 am on 3 March 1945. He allegedly died of ‘circulatory failure and general physical weakness’. There are no written sources that record what happened to his body.
