Biography
Peter Hermann Arthur Bielefeld
Peter worked as a Hachschara apprentice in 1936 for his agricultural training to "Landwerk Havelberg" about 110 km west of Berlin.
He fled to the Netherlands in 1937 and went to the Jewish Work Village in the Wieringermeer. After the evacuation of the work village, Peter lived at Achillesstraat 72.I in Amsterdam.
At the first deportation on 20 March 1941 by Willy Lages and Klaus Barbie, Peter was assigned to the 60 who were allowed to stay behind.
Peter, however, was in his smart clothes, not his work clothes, and was taken out by Lages and sent on a transport to Amsterdam with the others.
