Biography
Nikolai Ivanovich Saburov was born in November 1915 in Moscow. After finishing school he attended university. He worked first at the ‘Theatre of the Working Youth’ (‘TRAM’, later ‘Lenkom’), then until the beginning of the Great Patriotic War at the ‘Theatre of the Revolution’ (today the Mayakovsky Theatre).
On 25 May 1941 he was called up for reserve training in the Red Army and remained in service after the outbreak of war. He was drafted by the Venevsky District Military Commissariat of the Tula region.
Nikolai Ivanovich Saburov died on 29 March 1942 in the Mauthausen concentration camp.
Despite repeated and lengthy research attempts, his family was only informed of his fate in 1990.
