Biography
Silvio Luigi Agostino Chouquer war Sohn von Louis, seinerseits Sohn von Isidore, von Beruf Bauer, und Célestine Marthyn, Tochter von Joseph, auch Bäuerin; er selbst war von Beruf Bauer und Arbeiter.
Von ihm existiert ein Foto, das uns der Sohn im Jahr 2004 geschenkt hat und das hier beigelegt ist.
Anmerkung über die Eheschließung am Rande der Geburtsurkunde, ehem. Gemeinde von Fontainemore, Aostatal: „vollzogen in Bard (Aostatal) am 28. Oktober 1936 mit Silvia Maria Leona, die aus Hône stammte (Aostatal)“. (Die zwei Ortschaften Hône und Bard wurden in der Zeit des Faschismus in einer Gemeinde zusammengeschlossen, die ab dem 20. Mai 1928 Bard hieß; die Gemeinde Hône wurde im April 1946 wiederhergestellt).
Anmerkung über den Tod am Rande der Geburtsurkunde, ehem. Gemeinde von Fontainemore, Aostatal: „Gestorben am 7.1.1945 in Deutschland im Vernichtungslager Mauthausen, Todesurkunde der Stadt Rom vom 7.3.1962 Nr. 92 II C.“
Der Sohn hat uns berichtet, dass sich der Vater, bevor er nach Hône umzog, in Issogne (Aostatal) niedergelassen hatte. Der Großvater stammte aus Settimo Vittone. Die Gattin Silvia Maria Leona, verheiratete Chouquer, ist ebenfalls 1914 geboren. Sie hatte sich von 1945 bis 1946 in Settimo Torinese (Turin) mit ihrem Sohn, der 1939 geboren wurde, niedergelassen und dort gearbeitet. Sie ist 1988 verstorben.
Chouquer hat seinen Militärdienst in der Infanterie vom 27. September 1935 bis zum 16. September 1942 geleistet. Er wird auf unbegrenzte Zeit entlassen, aber am 15. Oktober 1943 wieder ins Heer der Repubblica Sociale Italiana (die faschistische Italienische Sozialrepublik) eingezogen. Er meldet sich nicht, weshalb er von den Carabinieri verhaftet und am 5. Jänner 1944 ins Gefängnis von Aosta überstellt wird. Von hier aus kommt er ins Gefängnis von Turin, wo er am 1. März 1944 eintrifft. Seine Deportation erfolgt gemeinsam mit 244 anderen Personen am 13. März 1944 von Turin nach Bergamo; von dort geht der Zug am 16. März 1944 nach Mauthausen, wo er am 20. März mit 563 Deportierten ankommt.
Chouquer erhält die Häftlingsnummer 58797 und wird ins Außenlager Gusen überstellt, wo er am 7. Jänner 1945 stirbt.

Silvio Luigi Agostino Chouquer was the son of Louis, who in turn was the son of Isidore, a peasant, and Célestine Marthyn, daughter of Josef, also a peasant; he himself was a peasant and worker.

Note on his marriage written at the edge of his birth certificate, issued by the former parish of Fontainemore, Aosta Valley: ‘performed in Bard (Aosta Valley) on 28 October 1936 to Silvia Maria Leona, a native of Hône (Aosta Valley)’. (The two villages of Hône and Bard were combined into a single parish during the Fascist period, which was known as Bard from 20 May 1928; the parish of Hône was re-established in April 1946.)

His son told us that, before moving to Hône, his father had lived in Issogne (Aosta Valley), while his grandfather came from Settimo Vittone. His wife, Silvia Maria Leona, married name Chouquer, was also born in 1914. From 1945 to 1946 she lived and worked in Settimo Torinese (Turin) with her son, who was born in 1939. She died in 1988.
Chouquer did his military service in the infantry from 27 September 1935 to 16 September 1942. He was given a permanent discharge but was called up on 15 October 1943 to join the army of the Repubblica Sociale Italiana (the Fascist Italian Social Republic). He did not report for duty and was therefore arrested by the Carabinieri police and taken to Aosta jail on 5 January 1944. From there he was taken to Turin jail, where he arrived on 1 March 1944. He and 244 others were deported from Turin to Bergamo on 13 March 1944. The train to Mauthausen left Bergamo on 16 March 1944 and Chouquer arrived there on 20 March together with 563 other deportees.
Chouquer was assigned prisoner number 58797 and was transferred to the Gusen branch camp, where he died on 7 January 1945.

Il figlio ci disse che il padre, prima di andare ad abitare a Hône, si era stabilito a Issogne (Valle d’Aosta).
Il nonno proveniva da Settimo Vittone.
La consorte Silvia Maria Leona in Chouquer era anch’ella del 1914. Stabilitasi dal 1945-1946 a Settimo Torinese (TO) con il figlio nato nel 1939, vi ha lavorato. È deceduta nel 1988.
Chouquer ha prestato servizio militare in fanteria dal 27 settembre 1935 al 16 settembre 1942. Posto in congedo illimitato, è richiamato sotto le armi nell’esercito della RSI il 15 ottobre 1943. Non si presenta e, di conseguenza, è arrestato dai carabinieri e tradotto nelle carceri di Aosta il 5 gennaio 1944. Di qui è trasferito nelle carceri di Torino dove giunge il 1º marzo del 1944. Destinato alla deportazione, parte il 13 marzo 1944, con altre 244 persone, da Torino diretto a Bergamo; di lì, il convoglio parte il 16 marzo 1944 con destinazione Mauthausen, dove arriva il 20 marzo 1944, trasportando 563 deportati.
Matricola numero 587 97, trasferito al campo di Gusen, vi muore il 7 gennaio 1945.
