Biografía
Nació el 31/01/1900 en Belmez (Córdoba, España). Estaba casado con Irene Pozo y tuvieron tres hijas. Era calderero.
En la guerra civil estuvo reparando aviones en la base de Alcantarilla (Murcia). Después huye y se refugia con su familia en Francia, donde trabaja como mecánico en los talleres de la aviación francesa de Cognac (Batallón del Aire de la 3ª CTE).
Es apresado en el Fronstalag 184, de Angulema, de donde parte el 20/08/1940 el convoy llamado “de los 927 españoles”. Tras cuatro días hacinados en el tren, sin comida y sin higiene, llegan a Mauthausen el 24/08/1940. Las mujeres y los menores de trece años son enviados a Irún, para ser entregados a la policía franquista, quedando recluidos en el campo 431 hombres y adolescentes, entre ellos, Pedro y otros 35 cordobeses, de los que solo dos conocieron la liberación del campo en 1945.
En Mauthausen tuvo el número de matricula 4035. El 24/01/1941 fue trasladado a Gusen, donde le asignan el número 9631. Allí fue asesinado el 29/08/1941.
He was born on 31/01/1900 in Belmez (Córdoba, Spain). He was married to Irene Pozo and they had three daughters. He was a boilermaker.
During the Civil War he was repairing planes at the base in Alcantarilla (Murcia). He then fled and took refuge with his family in France, where he worked as a mechanic in the French aviation workshops in Cognac (Air Battalion of the 3rd CTE).
He was captured at Fronstalag 184, Angoulême, from where the convoy called ‘of the 927 Spaniards’ left on 20/08/1940. After four days of overcrowding on the train, without food and hygiene, they arrived at Mauthausen on 24/08/1940. The women and children under the age of thirteen were sent to Irún, to be handed over to Franco's police. 431 men and teenagers were imprisoned in the camp, including Pedro and 35 others from Córdoba, of whom only two saw the liberation of the camp in 1945.
In Mauthausen, it had the registration number 4035. On 24/01/1941, he was transferred to Gusen, where he was assigned the number 9631. There, he was killed on 29/08/1941.
