Biography

Teodoro Pedro Bonilla Quiles defended the Spanish Republic in the Spanish Civil War. He was subject to Fascist repression at the hands of Franco’s army and fled to France, where he joined the French Résistance to fight against the National Socialists.

While defending the Maginot Line[1] he was arrested.

He was transported first to a camp in Stuttgart and ultimately deported to the Mauthausen concentration camp.
